Today was our last full day in Seattle and we went out with a bang! This morning, our students led in worship at CrossPointe Church in the northern area of Seattle. The last time our students sang together as a choir was the previous Sunday, so after a week of intense mission work and service, it was rewarding to see them together again leading in this way.
After lunch and a break back at the dorms, we headed out towards southern Seattle/Tacoma to give an evening concert at Trinity Baptist Church. Once again, our students did an excellent job leading through singing and drama. We are continually impressed and encouraged by these students’ attitudes and their willingness to serve, even on day #10 of a long trip.
This week has been a powerful experience with our high school students and life-changing work was completed during our time in Seattle. We feel so privileged to come alongside these churches and ministries that are investing spiritually in some very difficult areas. Our hope is that one day we will get to see just a glimpse of what God is doing in this community and know that the Lord used our group as a small part of His plan for these people and their lives.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We feel blessed to be sent out by a church like Tallowood.
We fly home tomorrow and we will likely not add any more posts to the blog, but if you want to see pictures from our time in Seattle, take a look at our album on the Tallowood Students Facebook page. Not a Facebook user? No problem – you can still view the pictures. Just follow this LINK.
